This section describes how to use the Sevio system associated with Mitsubishi Electric® - and PLC with serial port – FX3 Series products.

Mitsubishi Electric®, GTD3, GX, RT ToolBox3, RT ToolBox2, FR Configurator2, FR Configurator Mobile and MR Configurator2 are Mitsubishi Electric Corporation registered brands. Other product names and brands are registered brands or trademarks of their respective owners.
Requirement
The fundamental requirements for the use of the Sevio System combined with Mitsubishi Electric®:
- The Sevio Router.
- The Registration Sheet (supplied along with the Sevio Router).
- A Mitsubishi Electric® PLC, HMI, Robot, Inverter, Servo with Ethernet connectivity.
- A PC with an up-to-date web browser and the following software installed:
- GX Works2.
- GXWorks3.
- GTD3.
- RT ToolBox3, RT ToolBox2.
- FR Configurator2, FR Configurator Mobile.
- MR Configurator2.
- A VPN Client configured and connected (see Workstation Management).
- An internet access.
Preliminary configuration
Remote connection to Devices with serial Port is via Ethernet-to-serial adapter (optional), to be installed directly on the Sevio Router LAN.

Configure local IP address of serial adapter, set up an IP address within Sevio Router LAN net.
Set up which the Gateway Sevio Router LAN IP address assigned. For further details, please refer to the Sevio Router parameters article.
Remote access

Go to the PLC setting, select Connection1, Serial USB and PLC Module.

Proceed to serial configuration to access to PLC, like a common local connection.

Execute Connection Test.
From this moment on it is possible to perform all online activities.
