This article provides a guide to using the Sevio System in association with Omron - CX - Programmer products.
Trademarks
Sevio is a Sevio S.r.l. trademark.
CJ2M, Sysmac Studio and CX-Programmer are Omron Corporation trademarks. Other product names and brands are registered brands or trademarks of their respective owners.
Requirements
The fundamental requirements for the use of the Sevio system combined with Omron products:
- The Sevio Router.
- The Registration Sheet (supplied along with the Sevio Router).
- A Omron PLC with Ethernet connectivity.
- A PC with an up-to-date web browser and CX-Programmer software installed.
- A VPN Client configured and connected (see Workstations Management).
- An internet access.
Preliminary configuration
Go to IO Table and Unit Setup, Built-in Ethernet/IP port for CJ2M.
Set up in Default Gateway field the Sevio Router LAN IP address assigned (e.g. 192.168.250.254). For further details, please refer to the Sevio Router parameters article.
Remote access
Select from PLC menu, Change Communication Settings.
Select the Network Type and set up the remote PLC IP address:
Select Work Online.
From this moment on it is possible to perform all online activities.
