The Update Submenu in Sevio Portal displays and manages the Router’s firmware profile.
If an update is available for the selected Device, the Submenu text appears in red. To ensure optimal security and performance, it is recommended to keep Devices updated to the latest available firmware version. Details are available in the Release notes section.
To perform the update, the Router must be online, and a stable connection is required throughout the process.
Update Procedure
The update operation is restricted to Operators with Owner and Admin roles.
To update the Router:
- In the Devices section, select the desired Router.
- Select the Update Submenu.
- Click Update.
The firmware update may take several minutes.
During the operation, the Router will perform a full reboot. Local and remote functionalities will be unavailable.
Additionally, for the Sevio R600 and Basic models, ensure that the machine or system is stopped, or use a downstream switch for communication between devices.
Update Limitations
For SV Series Routers running a firmware version prior to 2.7.2, updates are no longer supported and the Update Submenu is disabled.
The Update button is disabled if:
- The Router is offline.
- An update is in progress.
- No new firmware versions are available.
