This article provides a guide to using the Sevio System in association with B&R® products.
Trademarks
Sevio is a Sevio S.r.l. trademark.
B&R® and Automation Studio® are B&R Industrial Automation GmbH registered trademarks. Other product names and brands are registered brands or trademarks of their respective owners.
Requirement
The fundamental requirements for the use of the Sevio System combined with B&R® products:
- The Sevio Router.
- The Registration Sheet (supplied along with the Sevio Router).
- A B&R® PLC/PC with Ethernet connectivity.
- A PC with an up-to-date web browser and Automation Studio® software installed.
- A VPN Client configured and connected (see Workstation Management).
- An internet access.
Preliminary configuration
Go to the IP Parameters and identify the PLC IP address (e.g. 192.168.1.100).
Set up as Default Gateway the Sevio Router LAN IP address assigned (e.g. 192.168.1.1). For further details, please refer to the Sevio Router parameters article.
Click OK.
Remote Access
Select Online > Settings to go to Destination IP address.
Select the Device, change the Destination IP address, with the remote PLC IP address:
Select the configuration and click Connect.
From this moment on, it is possible to perform all online activities.
