The Router can be configured via the Web Server (R Series only) or Sevio Portal.

The Web Interface, available on R Series Routers, allows Users to directly configure Devices, monitor LAN network status, and manage advanced parameters. For further details, please refer to the Web Interface section.

Sevio Portal allows you to configure remote Routers in real time, monitor their status, and manage access privileges. Consult the Configuring Sevio Router via the Portal article for more information.

Router parameters can be modified in three ways:

  • Real-time parameter updates - when a Router is connected to the Sevio infrastructure (  /  ), parameter changes made in the Sevio Portal are applied immediately.
  • Parameter updates at the next connection - if the Router is not connected to the Sevio infrastructure (  /  ), parameter changes made in the Sevio Portal will be applied the next time it connects.
  • Offline Configuration - if a Router is offline and requires updated settings to connect, manually import the parameters configured on Sevio Portal into the Router using the Offline Configuration procedure.

Sevio System does not require any preliminary on-site configuration, as you can manage the parameters remotely, even after installation.

Connecting the Router to the local network

Choose one of the following configuration modes to connect the Router to the local network:

Wired

To connect the Router via cable:

  1. Power on the Router and connect the cable to the WAN Port.
  2. DHCP Client:
    • If a DHCP Client is present on the WAN (network of the installation site), the Sevio Router will automatically obtain the necessary network configuration to connect.
    • If a DHCP Client is not present, the network parameters must be set manually.
  3. If you are using a Proxy server, additional configuration may be required.

For further details, please refer to the WAN Panel article.
